These opportunities are designed to connect you directly with the individuals and families we serve. You don’t need to be an expert—just someone who’s ready to show up with patience, consistency, and kindness. Current opportunities are listed here! Help someone build confidence in their English through casual, friendly conversations. One-on-one or small group settings—no teaching experience required.
Support clients as they learn basic computer skills: using email, applying for jobs, or navigating digital systems.
Practice mock interviews, help with résumé writing, and share what to expect in the American workplace. Great for professionals who want to give back.
Provide rides to and from medical appointments. Flexible scheduling and a tangible way to ease a family’s stress.
Work alongside us during special programming with local partners like BikeWalkKC or Bridgepoint Eye Clinic—right here on-site at Della.
Parents need to work or study—and our littlest learners need caring helpers in the classroom. No teaching credentials required.
Roles:
Classroom Reader: Read stories in small groups.
Classroom Helper: Assist teachers with snacks, craft time, or center‑based learning.

Our city’s youth thrive when they’re active—on the court or the field. Coaches and admin volunteers are always in demand.
Roles:
Assistant Coach: Support practice drills, game-day rotations, and positive team culture.
Admin Helper: Manage sign‑ins, update rosters, handle equipment check‑in/out.
